North End Farmhouse is situated in Thomas Hardy country, an area of spectacular scenery, and only a couple of miles from the Jurassic Coast and wonderful beaches. If you enjoy walking or cycling then you’ll be spoilt for choice, with many picturesque walks and routes in this part of West Dorset. Other outdoor pursuits are close by include sailing, golf, horse riding, karting and clay pigeon shooting. You can even go tandem paragliding with Eddie on Jurassic cliffs (there is a additional charge and it is subject to weather conditions).
Seaside and Countryside
Bustling resorts like Lyme Regis, West Bay and Weymouth, all offering a wide range of seaside holiday activities, are within easy reach. Whilst inland towns such as Dorchester, Sherborne and Bridport, offer a mixture of history, culture and charm.
West Dorset is home to a vibrant arts scene meaning art lovers have plenty to see, whether you visit an artists open studio event, one of the many diverse art galleries, or outstanding art centres.
Foodies are well catered for and have plenty of choice – from award-winning pubs, cafés and restaurants, through to Farmers’ Markets selling the best of local produce.
