Holiday Close to Nature
Guests are invited to unwind in nature and experience the simple pleasures of outdoor living. Hear the sound of owls in the trees and ducks on the lake, before taking a refreshing swim in one of the farm’s three natural swimming lakes. For the adventurous, there’s a jetty for diving, and afterwards you can warm up under the rustic outdoor hot shower while taking in the surrounding countryside views.
Ed’s Shed provides a peaceful base to reconnect with nature, but it’s also a gateway to Dorset’s best-loved attractions. Wander down the ancient hollow lanes to discover traditional country pubs, walk the dramatic coastal paths, or relax on unspoilt beaches. Whether you’re seeking relaxation, wild swimming, or exploration, this unique stay combines rustic charm with unforgettable experiences.
Enjoy the Natural Beauty of Dorset
With its lakeside setting, proximity to the Jurassic Coast, and easy access to Bridport and Lyme Regis, Ed’s Shed is more than just holiday accommodation – it’s a destination in itself. Perfect for couples, nature lovers, and those looking for a slower pace of life, it offers a rare opportunity to immerse yourself in Dorset’s natural beauty.
Ed’s shed is known by various names, originally Ed’s shed as I loved it as my studio and workstation and getaway or man shed however as I’ve moved within the farm and felt it had to be shared with you as the wonderful retreat that it is and introduced the other names of Hobbit house or North End Potting Shed.
The Potting Shed has a very comfortable double bed, full kitchen with fridge, gas cooker and workstation with a view. Attached is the outdoor gas shower and compost loo.
Book your stay at Ed’s Shed and discover why this hidden gem is one of Dorset’s unique retreats.
